Originally, kids hip hop music sub-culture is dark primarily because of rap music’s influence of violence in it. Teens turned withdrawn, moody and anarchic more than ever before. Parents and schools were frightened over the music’s influence, and even the government tried to take steps to tighten controls over what kids were listening to.

The kids hip hop music sub-culture has an ifluence of rap music in it filled with the discomforts of the city street life, a subject they may not even be able to comprehend. The rappers express resentment, and their music’s popularity drove kids hip hop music cultural wave to mirror those issues in expressing their frustrations againts the world. It was way too easy to blame the music for society’s own ills.

Kids hip hop music still has its own niche in society today, but is less darker and more positive than in the past. Past listeners have grown up, most having kids of their own. The music took a positive turn and became more inspiring to audiences today, eventually making its way to the hearts of children. Instead of tearing down the world around them to make it into their own with violence, kids hip hop music is preaching volunteerism, carving out your place in the world by healing it instead of harming it, and if you still don’t like what the world has to offer you, build your own world and path instead.

Gone is the mark of the lawless, the thug, the outcast. In its place, now stands a leader, an entrepreneur and world healer, a champion of human rights, love and relationships. The culture that is kids hip hop music will advance and prosper to becoming more positive, because of the revival of poetry and art from its roots. Themed albums dedicated to the more positive lessons of life learned the hard way are taking precedence over just grabbing what you want, when you want. The children of today will benefit from the influence of the music more than that of what society has for them.
